What is it? Technically, it’s a discussion space hosted on the same platform that runs this newsletter (beehiiv). The same user account that unlocks all the articles on the perspectives.plus website is used here, so there’s no new identity required. But you do need to create a user profile when you first log in.
What is it for? As the name implies, only those subscribers who have supported this newsletter by purchasing a Plus subscription are qualified to become Insiders. This means it’s not yet another public forum, but rather it’s a private space for messages that don’t get indexed by any search engines or AI crawlers. The community channels are as follows:
#Newsletters: find and comment on any published issue.
#CommunityChat: start discussions related to topics I cover in Perspectives, or at least ones that might interest other readers.
#AskJukka: a virtual AMA where you can ask me anything that you’re looking to get my perspectives on.
#Feedback: ideas for future topics, suggestions on how to improve the newsletter, questions about using the community.
What’s in it for you? Well, I’m hoping that this community space would make it easier to share ideas — not just with me but also among the group of readers who are following my Perspectives. I also want to post shorter takes on current news and recent thoughts there, so that not everything needs to turn into a 15-minute read on the weekly email. Let’s see what comes out of this!
